David Schwartz appointed to Editorial Board of JMIR mHealth & uHealth
JMIR mHealth and uHealth (JMU, ISSN 2291-5222; Impact Factor 4.301) is a sister journal of JMIR, the leading eHealth journal. JMIR mHealth and uHealth is indexed in PubMed, PubMed Central, Scopus, MEDLINE and Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), and in June 2019 received an Impact Factor of 4.301, which ranks the journal #2 (behind JMIR) in the medical informatics category indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) by Thomson Reuters/Clarivate.
The journal focuses on health and biomedical applications in mobile and tablet computing, pervasive and ubiquitous computing, wearable computing and domotics.
Prof. Schwartz’s role as an associate editor builds on his years of editorial experience which includes over a decade as editor-in-chief of Emerald’s Journal of Internet Research. In 2012 Prof. Schwartz established Bar-Ilan University’s Social Intelligence Lab which is dedicated to leading research on social uses of information and communication technologies, the underlying nature of socially generated data, and algorithms that use both social data and network effects to improve society. Extensive mHealth research is underway at the Lab including the UnityPhilly.org project to reduce opioid overdose deaths through proximity-based naloxone provision by patient-peers using an Emergency Response Community app.
